At around 06:35, units were dispatched for a vehicle on it's roof in the front yard of a residence, with unknown injuries or entrapment. A passing vehicle noticed the accident and called 911, but the caller did not stop. The first arriving unit found a vehicle on it's side in the front of a residence. The vehicle had rolled onto it's roof and then hit a 7-9" tree, completely breaking the tree from it's roots, before the vehicle came to rest on it's side. The one adult and two pediatric occupents of the vehicle had freed themselves from their restraints, and were standing inside the intact passenger compartment when rescuers arrived. Firefighters were able to release the occupants by removing the sunroof from the car. The adult was transported to Mary Washington Hospital for a checkup, while the children had no injuries and were released into the care of relatives.
