At 6:02 AM on April 16, 2007 Prince William County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to a house fire at 15474 Marsh Overlook Drive in Woodbridge. When firefighters from Station 512 arrived on the scene the home was heavily involved in fire. "They initiated a very aggressive fire attack and search of the building," said Asst. Chief Kevin McGee of the Prince William County Fire Department. Fire officials said that while battling the blaze, firefighters noticed that Wilson was missing and began to search for him. "We initiated immediate rescue to find our firefighter and had to withdraw from that as the building collapsed." Despite the Heroic efforts from the PWCDFR, Technician Kyle Wilson gave the ultimate sacrifice. This is the first line-of-duty fatality in the 41 year history of the Department of Fire and Rescue.

Kyle Robert Wilson May 25, 1982 - April 16, 2007
