New Years Eve, and New Years Day can bring many things in Spotsylvania County. SVRS members put parties and get-togethers aside and staffed rescue stations across the county. The staffed units were eager to see which station and department would receive the first call of the new year. As 2007 was drawing near, the temperature began to drop and the rain began to fall. However, midnight came and went with incident. The first call was dispatched around 1230 A.M. to Rescue Station 6 of the Chancellor Fire and Rescue Department. Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue Squad wishes everyone a Safe and Happy New Year, 2007.
As we bring in a new year, this is a great time to consider joining an EMT class and joining a rescue organization. Please see our membership pages for further information.
Volunteers wait to see which station receives the first call of the year.
