| On Saturday, July 21st, four members of Spotsylvania Vol. Rescue Squad teamed the "Rescue Warriors" competed in the first ever Tribal Quest held in Fredericksburg. The endurance event featured 15 obstacles intermingled into a 5 mile course. The course ventured along (and into) the Rappahannock River, along Interstate 95, and through rugged and undeveloped terrain in Celebrate Virginia. The extreme obstacle course included steep hills, a mud pit, snake pit, 10 and 15 feet walls climbs, tire obstacle, bear crawl, and a short game of corn hole among other more difficult and challenging tasks.
Albeit some minor injuries, the Rescue Warriors finished the entire course in just under 2 hours; toppling at least four other teams in their heat. The team included Chief LeRon Lewis, EMT-E Austin Adams, EMT-B Jesse Love, and EMT-I Jenny Love. Congratulations to the competitors! |
