| There will be an Open House at Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue Squad's Arvel P. Shannon Training Center at 8711 Courthouse Road on Sunday, November 22, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to tour the new facilities and get an up-close look at the area's first dedicated training center operated by a rescue organization. On display will be rescue and training equipment, including a real ambulance box in the building, which will help simulate real situations.
The training center is named for and dedicated to Arvel P. Shannon, who has long been a constant supporter of the Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue Squad.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 2:00 p.m. Facility tours and free refreshments will be provided throughout the day. |
