At 08:00 on May 31, SVRS put it's newest truck into service. Truck #56 will be running out of the Four-Mile Fork station as Medic 4-3. This unit replaces an older Ford F-350/Osage unit that was destroyed last year in an MVA when a driver suffering a severe medical crisis lost control and hit the unit.
The truck is a PL-Custom on a Chevrolet C-4500 medium duty chassis. Features include an all LED light package, electronic controls, centrally ducted climate control, and a Federal Signal siren package. An in-box camera allows the driver to monitor what is going on inside the back, providing extra security for both patients and providers.
