At approximately 20:19 pm units were notified of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 1 and Mudd Tavern Road. When units arrived on the scene they advised a car had hit sign in the Joy Market parking lot. They advised they would need to extricate both patients from the vehicle. After patients were extricated from the vehicle they were transported to Mary Washington Hospital.
