SVRS units can be requested for standby at large public gatherings, sporting events, and parades. While we make every effort to meet all standby requests, the requests are subject to equipment and volunteer availability. Our first and foremost priority is to meet the emergency rescue needs within the our county. Due to this, we generally do not do standbys outside of Spotsylvania County. Some examples of PR Events SVRS has participated in include: high school sporting events and competitions, Boy Scout and Girl Scout truck display, Crime Prevention Day display, Fire Department and locality parades, and high school displays for Junior Program recruitment. If you are interested in having a SVRS unit at your event or function, please send an email to the attention of Public Relations (RC2@spotsyrescue.org), call 540-842-6674 and leave a message. For all contacts, please include: your name, contact information, the date and time of the event, and event location.  Please also include a short explanation about the event and why you would like a unit to be present. We ask that several weeks advance notice be given so our organization can check availability of a unit and required personnel.
