On Saturday, October 19th the Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue Squad had the honor of being invited to join Girl Scout Troop 3721 for a little training!
Squad members Kelly Sands and Jodie Scott arrived at the KOA Campgrounds in Massaponax to help the young ladies earn their First Aid Badge. The girls were able to see both the inside and outside of an ambulance. The fun really began when the Girl Scouts divided up into groups of four and had an opportunity to see how the equipment works and what kinds of supplies are carried to assist patients with their needs. In addition to the hands on experience of exploring the ambulance, the girls also received a booklet explaining items that should be included in a personal First Aid kit.
Not only was it an honor to be invited, but it was also a joy to see the girls having so much learning about something we, at SVRS, are so passionate about.
