Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue Squad is pleased to announce the unveiling of a new logo and patch. Considerable time went into the design and and color scheme. The result is a new patch that's still rich with history.

The overall design shape has a more traditional approach which mirrors the patches of the other public safety agencies in the County. The blue and yellow represents the adopted "squad colors" from many years ago, and now incorporates those colors in the new theme. The American flag woven into the traditional EMS Star of Life represents our pride in our Country and our resiliency after the attacks of 9/11. The backdrop to the star is a geographical image of Spotsylvania County and serves as a reminder of our promise to provide quality EMS service to the citizens and patrons of Spotsylvania County. The image is set in the color of kelly green - the flag color of Spotsylvania. The lowermost part of the logo shows that we were established in 1974.

The new patch represents our progress, while still reminding us of our heritage. It creates a legacy as we continue to evolve. And it serves as our foot stool as we move forward in the coming years.
